Portugal is rad

We got back from Spain/Portugal on Friday, had a cool time but won't be recommending the 20-hour ferry crossing to anyone else who is unable to take seasickness tablets (I won't go into details) and I'll get round to putting the pics up eventually. But this one reminded me of Dan. It is at the entrance to a 19th c. palace in Sintra, just outside Lisbon, decorated in the very worst possible taste - it reminded me a lot of Neueschwanstein in Germany. But with more tiles.

Annual holiday dilemma

Yet again Will and I are almost coming to blows over where to go for our final child-free holiday. I can't fly after 28 weeks, so need to go in May really, but Will doesn't want to fly at all. Not sure how much fun sailing/driving long distances whilst pregnant is going to be, and I am desperate for some warmth after last year's washout of a summer. Any suggestions?

Followers

Yay! I have a follower! I always knew I was destined for great things. I shall start proclamations and denouncements forthwith. And maybe even some edicts, just for fun.

You have been warned!

Nothing really

I just noticed HOW LONG it has been since I actually managed to write anything on here. Wow. So, Christmas and New Year have come and gone, we had some decent snow for once, even in the West country, and I am almost 4 months pregnant. Work has been slow, but is now picking up, I visited Sheffield for the first time, and I am now trying to think where to go for my last child-free holiday. Oh yes, and Tomb Raider Underworld was massively underwhelming.

Exciting stuff, no?

Curses

I just heard that Tomb Raider Underworld is not coming out on PS2 (i.e. my only console) until some time (as yet unspecified) next year, not today as I had previously thought. FLAPS! Now what am I going to do in these dark winter months I ask you???

If Will is reading this, what about a Wii for Christmas? Just thought I'd mention it...

Woo and indeed woo!

Was woken up this morning at 5am by an excited Will who had watched the US election declared in Obama's favour. Very relieved as despite all the predictions in the press, I always had a nagging doubt that McCain would scrape in, thus dooming us for ever. I will never misoverestimate the American public again after TWO electoral victories for Dubya, but at last they seem to have come to their collective senses.

The next question being, how can W foul up as much as possible before January?
