I am compiling an electro-based/80s pop gem and would be grateful of any help. So far the track listing is as follows (in no particular order):
Gary Numan: Are Friends Electric? or Music for Chameleons
Daft Punk: Higher, Faster...
Mylo: Doctor Pressure
Kraftwerk: Model
Goldfrapp: Strict Machine
Eurythmics: Sweet Dreams
Can't remember the rest of them, but you get the idea. PS Gary Numan's new music is sounding ever more like Marilyn Manson(!)

I guess as you're going to include modern stuff aswell (Mylo) - LCD Soundsystem's 'Tribulations' should definitely feature.
As for the 80s stuff, Prince's 'Controversy' must feature!
-second vote for controversy
-Boogie Down Bronx by Man Parrish
-20 minute affair by DMX krew
-The Hell Interface mix of Midas Touch
-Living in the 1980's by Cylob
-Something off the Les Rhythm Digital album probably
also... there's always beena fairly strong goth undercurrent to electro c.f. ('the dark side of the 80's' compilation I saw in HMV the other day) so we shouldn't be surprised that gary numan is a big ol goth too.
i forgot to mention these!
Imagination - Just An Illusion (this is essential)
Depeche Mode - Just Can't Get Enough (go for the pink pound!)
here's a nice pic of imagination to be getting on with:

Just an illusion is defo there - though I don't have a copy of it - can anyone help? And my Prince knowledge is shown up as poor...I have never heard of this Controversy of which you speak - which album is it from?
